![I’m beginning work on what will be a mixed-media series of portraits that will probably be in progress for a while. I need people who are not only willing to come to me to have some relatively simple portraits taken, but who are also willing to answer some not so simple, and kind of personal, questions about themselves.
Gender and age don’t really matter, beyond that you’ll need to be 18 or older. Honestly, the answers to my questions are more important than what you look like as they’ll guide me in completing the final portrait.Location wise, I live between Daytona Beach and St Augustine, Florida, and for at least right now will be shooting the portraits in my home. I’m hoping at some point this can become a little more flexible, especially for those in other parts of Florida and south Georgia.If you’re hoping for images done by me that are more conceptual and weird like my usual work, this isn’t for you. That isn’t to say the finished product won’t be sort of that way, I just can’t guarantee who/what images will end up fitting into the final series. And you’ll only get to see the complete finished product if it actually goes that far with your portrait, and you most likely won’t get to see it in its entirety [just a sneak peak] before it’s ALL done. [Though I’m fine sharing the plain, simple portraits we shoot.] I offer free prints to everyone who works with me, and that applies to this too.
Depending on time and whether you fit in with some of my more typical work, we can shoot other things along with this, but I can’t guarantee that option for everyone.I know this is all a little vague, but if you’re interested we’ll talk more before the actual shoot, and most, if not all of the “interview” process, can happen via email.And again, i’ll be working on this for a while, so our shoot can happen 3 weeks or 6 months from now.
